Full-time Staff

Dane Lewis
Dane LewisPastor
Having been ordained with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) since 1993, Dane counts it a privilege to have served as the original church planter and now pastor of River’s Edge since its inception in 2002. His roots are in the Boston area, but he is very glad to have called Baltimore his home since 1987. His ministry experience includes nine years here in Baltimore ministering to single adults and as an assistant pastor at Chapelgate Pres. (through 1996), as well as six years as a church planter in London, Ontario, Canada (1996-2002), before returning to Baltimore to help start River’s Edge, along with his wife, Jo, and their two sons, Dan and Matt. Dane and Jo love to talk with people about their faith journeys and help them find answers to life’s most important questions. For fun, Dane enjoys reading extensively, learning magic tricks, hiking/camping and cheering for his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.
Chris Zang
Chris ZangDirector of International Ministries
Originally from China, Chris immigrated to Canada in 1998 and then moved to Baltimore in 2005 to be part of our full-time staff, along with his wife, Debbie, and their son, Charles. Chris’ own experiences as an immigrant and as a university professor in China give him great understanding about the unique needs of those from other countries. He and Debbie are passionate about helping newcomers feel welcomed, deepening our appreciation for God’s kingdom around the world, helping River’s Edge become an international church and sharing the love of Jesus in a way those from other countries can understand. Chris loves to travel and is an excellent cook and Chinese teacher.

Zach Rallo
Zach RalloDirector of Youth Ministries
Zach graduated from Eastern University in December 2013 with a degree in philosophy and joined River’s Edge as their third full-time staff member in 2014. He was born in Ellicott City and raised in Eldersburg. Previously, Zach volunteered and worked in student ministry for parts of 7 years as an intern at Chapelgate PCA and is thrilled to be following God’s call to minister to students at River’s Edge. He is passionate about reaching young people with the good news of the Gospel, supporting them in their passions, and building relationships with them. Zach enjoys reading a wide array of literature, supporting Baltimore sports, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and discussing all things philosophical with anyone who will listen.
